Terms of Service
Kitchen Table Wellness Effective date: August 8th, 2026
Welcome to Kitchen Table Wellness. These terms cover what you can expect from us and what we ask of you when you use our website or book a class. We've kept them in plain English on purpose. By booking a class or using this site, you're agreeing to what's below.
Who we are
Kitchen Table Wellness ("KTW," "we," "us") offers interactive cooking classes in St. Louis, Missouri, taught by a functional medicine nurse practitioner and a classically trained chef. Classes are held at various participating kitchens in St. Louis, MO. Questions? Email info.kitchentablewellness@gmail.com.
The most important thing: this is education, not medical care
Our classes are educational. We teach cooking skills and share general nutrition information, and we hope it changes how you eat for the better. But nothing in our classes, on our website, or in our materials is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and attending a class does not create a provider-patient relationship with anyone at KTW, even though one of your hosts is a nurse practitioner.
Always talk with your own healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, medications, or treatment plan, especially if you're managing a health condition. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you learned at our table.
Booking a class
A booking reserves one seat per person per class. Seats are limited and sold first come, first served.
Payment in full is due at booking.
Prices are listed on each class page and may change for future classes. The price you pay at checkout is your price.
Classes are for adults. If we offer a class open to younger guests, the class page will say so, and a parent or guardian must attend with them.
Cancellations, refunds, and changes
If you cancel 48 hours or more before class: we'll happily transfer your seat to a future class, or refund you in full. Your choice.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before class: we're unable to offer a refund or transfer. By then we've bought your ingredients and reserved your spot at the counter.
You're welcome to send someone in your place at any time. Just email us their name and any dietary restrictions before class.
A minimum number of participants is required for the cooking class to take place. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the class may be canceled or rescheduled. Participants will be notified as soon as possible, and you choose: a full refund or a seat in a future class.
If we cancel or reschedule (low enrollment, weather, illness, or anything else), you choose: a full refund or a seat in a future class. We'll notify you by email as soon as we know.
Allergies and dietary restrictions
Tell us about any dietary restrictions or allergies when you register, and Chef Sharon will build substitutions into your class. Here's the honest part: we cook in a shared teaching kitchen that handles many ingredients, including common allergens, so we cannot guarantee any dish is free of cross-contact with allergens. If you have a severe or life-threatening allergy, please contact us before booking so we can talk honestly about whether a class is safe for you. You attend with full knowledge of this risk.
Safety in the kitchen
This is an interactive class. You'll work with knives, heat, and shared equipment. We'll show you safe technique, and Chef Sharon supervises throughout, but you're responsible for using reasonable care. Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended. Please follow all instructions from your hosts and the venue. We may ask anyone creating an unsafe situation to step back from an activity, and in serious cases to leave without refund.
Assumption of risk and release
Cooking involves inherent risks, including cuts, burns, slips, and allergic reactions, and eating food involves inherent risks even when it's prepared carefully. By attending, you voluntarily accept these risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Kitchen Table Wellness, its owners, instructors, and the host venue from claims arising out of ordinary risks of participating in a cooking class, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the class. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Photos and video
We occasionally photograph and film classes for our website and social media. If you'd rather not appear, just tell us at the start of class and we'll happily keep you out of the frame. By attending without opting out, you give us permission to use images from class that may include you, without compensation.
Recipes and materials
Take-home recipes and class materials are for your personal use. Cook them, share the meal, teach your family. Please don't republish or sell our materials without asking us first.
Our website
We work to keep information on this site accurate and current, but we can't promise it's always error-free. Class details, menus, and prices may be updated at any time. The site is provided as-is, and we're not responsible for interruptions or issues outside our control.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. The terms in effect when you book are the ones that apply to that booking.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Missouri.
